About the Guardians and Students PowerSchool Portal

The PowerSchool SIS Parent and Student portal is a digital tool that connects families and learners to real-time school performance data. It lets users track academic progress, monitor daily attendance, view class schedules, and check teacher comments from mobile devices or web browsers.

How to get to the Guardian Portal:

Guardian Accounts

Guardian will need to request an access ID and access password prior to creating a new account. The Guardians can contact their student’s school to request this information.

Guardians must create their account using the web portal. Once you have created an account, you can download the mobile app.

Note: Guardians with students attending District 120 and District 75 school, will need an account for each district.

Creating a new Guardian account:

  1. Start at the PowerSchool Application for Guardians and Students, select the tab at the top that says "Create Account".
  2. Enter the Guardian first name, last name and the email address associated with your student records. If you don’t know which email address is associated with your student in the school records, contact your student’s school before creating an account.
  3. Select a username, we recommend using your email address as your username. Enter a secure password and confirm it. Make sure to save your credentials for future use.
  4. Enter your student Access ID, Access Password. You can link all your students during this step, if you have more than one attending Mundelein High School. Please contact your student’s school if you don’t have the Access ID and Access Password.
  5. Indicate your relationship to the student(s) and continue.
  6. You will see a message that you have successfully created an account for accessing all of your students' academic information.

1. Once you have established your Guardian account, you can download the mobile application. You will be prompted for a District code:

a. District 120 families use code is: DMKW

b. District 75 families use code is: NCTZ
 

2. Mobile App Download. The PowerSchool Mobile app can be downloaded from

a. the Apple App Store

b. or the Google Play Store

3. Note:

a. You can also open the App Store app on your iOS device and search for “PowerSchool”. PowerSchool apps should be the first results that appear.

b. You can also open the Play Store app on your Android device and search for “PowerSchool”. PowerSchool apps should be the first results that appear.

4. After entering the district code, you will be asked to enter your Guardian credentials.

How to reset a Guardian password

1. You can return to the Guardian portal and click the forgot password / username. The reset instructions will email to the email address you provided during the account creation process.

Support

If Guardians need technical assistance when creating their account or recovering the username and password, they can contact their student’s school for support.
