We are interested in receiving your feedback related to the District 75 School Calendar for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years. During the summer of 2026, Mundelein High School District 120 will be implementing an extended summer to accommodate their construction project. Due to construction, Mundelein High School will start the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years after Labor Day.
This survey will help District 75 determine if we should stay in alignment with MHS or have an alternate start and end time.
The differences in the proposed 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic calendars compared to the typical District 75 academic calendars are:
- School would begin for Grades 1-8 and Kindergarten Orientation begin on Tuesday after Labor Day
- School years would end on June 10, 2027 and June 9, 2028 respectively
- All current federal (i.e. Labor Day, MLK Day) and school holidays (i.e. Jewish Holiday, Good Friday) would be maintained and continue to be observed
- Winter and Spring break would remain aligned with District 120
- CSMS Promotion ceremony could be scheduled in June (date TBD)
If District 75 did not align these two academic calendars with District 120, bus transportation costs will increase for both districts since to $30,000 - $55,000 per year since both districts currently share some bus routes.
