Lincoln Early Learning Center District 75 Programming
Programs:
Mundelein ESD 75 offers preschool programming to students identified as at-risk during the screening process or students who qualify for special education programming.
Preschool for All (PFA) is a grant-funded program that provides high-quality preschool services to eligible children ages 3–5 who qualify based on at-risk factors identified through the District’s screening process. PFA classrooms are taught by certified teachers and serve up to 20 students per section, with each classroom staffed by a teacher and a paraprofessional.
Special Education Program: A continuum of services is available for students who qualify based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). For example, itinerant therapy, preschool for all blended, early childhood, structured early childhood or cooperative programs through the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL).
Curriculum:
PFA program uses a standards-aligned, research-based curriculum called the Creative Curriculum System for Preschool. The preschool program also uses Teaching Strategies GOLD® for classroom assessment.
Special Education Programs: use a combination of curricular resources to meet the individualized needs of the learner. Core curricular resources include the Creative Curriculum System for Preschool and the STAR Program.
A day at Lincoln consists of:
- Gross Motor (Indoor or Outdoor)
- Large Group activity
- Choice Play / Snack
- Small groups
Lincoln Schedule:
Lincoln follows a school calendar published annually and operates as a five-day program from Monday to Friday with traditional school breaks and days off for Holidays and school improvement. The program includes morning and afternoon sessions, each lasting two hours and thirty minutes. The morning session takes place from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and the afternoon session runs from 12:15 PM to 2:45 PM.
Transportation:
Transportation to and from school is provided for children who qualify for our Programs. Transportation at the preschool level is door-to-door. This service is available only within the boundaries of Mundelein D75.
Preschool Screenings:
To participate in a preschool screening at Lincoln Early Learning Center, a child must live within the District 75 boundaries and must be at least three years old and no older than five years old on or before September 1 of the current school year.
During the screening process, we assess a child's motor, cognitive, social, speech, and language skills, along with a brief parent interview.
