All Day Event

A solar eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8, between 12:51 and 3:22 p.m. The eclipse will reach its peak at precisely 2:07 p.m. with the moon covering up to 94% of the sun. It's worth noting that the next solar eclipse visible from the United States will occur on August 23, 2044!

Teachers will be facilitating lessons about the eclipse on Monday, April 8, and the district has acquired viewing glasses for each staff member and student to ensure everyone can safely participate in this event.

While this is an exciting event, we understand that some parents may not want their child to participate in the viewing of the eclipse. Please complete the Solar Eclipse Form by Friday, April 5, if you DO NOT want your child to participate in the viewing of the eclipse.
